There is a paved road to the camping area. The camping area has a picnic table and restroom. There is a dirt & rock road down to the lake, about a 1/2 mile down from the camping area it is closed to motor vehicles and you have to walk down the mountain about a mile to the lake.
This walk to the lake is not for the faint hearted, because you have to climb back up the mountain. :-) I was standing on the top of dam when I took this picture and the one below. In the upper right of this picture you can see how steep the road is. Take plenty of water with you!
Alex and I fished for a couple of hours but didn't catch any fish. Alex had a big trout on his line but lost it. Now for the climb out! At age 60, I thought I was going to be Buzzard food after the first 400 yards of climbing almost straight up. It took us about 1 hour and a 1/2 to reach the camping area.
